Circles

A Space to Belong

At the heart of the 360 Community is the practice of the Talking Circle. This is not a formal meeting, a lecture, or a structured program. It is a safe, non-judgmental space designed for relational safety. Here, we prioritize listening over speaking and people over institutional goals.

“Every voice is held with honor. In the circle, there is no head of the table.”

Our Practice

  • Relational Safety First: We create a “spacious and gentle environment” where you can share your story at your own pace. There is never any pressure to speak, to conform, or to “fit in.”
  • Deep Listening: When one person speaks, the rest of the circle listens with full presence. We honor each other’s lived experiences without trying to “fix,” “advise,” or “convert” one another.
  • Equal Voices: The shape of the circle reminds us that we are all learners on the same journey. Whether you have been part of a tradition for decades or are just beginning to explore meaning, your perspective is vital.

What to Expect

A typical Circle gathering involves a simple opening, a shared theme for reflection, and ample time for open, heart-centered conversation. We are not here to change you; we are here to grow together. We invite everyone to explore what it means to follow the way of love and live a life of mercy and justice.

Common Protocols

  • Respect the “Talking Piece”: Only the person holding the designated focus (or whose turn it is) speaks; all others offer the gift of their attention.
  • One Voice at a Time: We avoid “cross-talk” or interruptions to ensure the flow remains gentle and undisturbed.
  • Speak from the “I”: We share from our own experiences and feelings rather than speaking in generalities or about others.
  • Honor the Silence: Pauses between speakers are welcomed. Silence is not a gap to be filled, but a space for reflection.

The 360 Approach

Although we are rooted in a Christian tradition, our Circles are open to all. We believe that by honoring each other’s stories, we evolve our understanding of life. This is where our Institutional Roots meet our Organic Heart—stable enough to provide a safe container, but flexible enough to let the spirit of the group lead.
